Our History

Costa Rica Sun Tours obtained its Ground Tour Operator license from the Costa Rica Tourism Institute in 1984. Owner John Aspinall Murray started working on his own and by 1988 the Agency was fully established with its own office in downtown San Jose.

We have a dedicated staff of people committed to provide all of our guests with the best possible experience in Costa Rica. 	We are properly licensed and registered as Tour Operators by the Tourism Institute of Costa Rica (Instituto Costarricense de Turismo). License # 208
	Costa Rica Sun Tours and Rainforest Alliance have established an alliance to work with the operator’s suppliers in Best Management Practices in Sustainable Tourism Program since February 16, 2007.
	Certificate of Sustainable Tourism (CST): Costa Rica Sun Tours is one of only seven Tour Operators in Costa Rica with CST.
