Resplendent Quetzal

The trogons are a small group of tropical birds with splendid plumage. The most famous trogon is the Resplendent Quetzal, one of the world´s longest tailed birds, sacred to Mayas and Costa Rican natives. It occur in the clouds forests usually above 3000 feet elevation, specially found in the Talamancas mountains and Monteverde.
