A 50 minute flight from San Jose to Puerto Jimenez is clearly the way to go, to avoid a nearly 8 hour drive, a 40 minute flight from San Jose to Tamarindo saves you about 4 hours compared to the 5 hour driving time, those are just a couple of examples how domestic flights can save time to make more of your vacation time.
