Guides and Drivers Bios
A knowledgeable guide plays an integral role in the success of any nature adventure, especially in the tropics of Costa Rica where diversity is a key component. Costa Rica Sun Tours designs tours around a good and professional interpretation of what nature has to offer (is prevalent in nature). We pride ourselves on the excellent caliber of the guides. Each individual has been chosen for their level of expertise, knowledge, people skills and sincere enthusiasm. The guides are fully equipped with professional telescopes, binoculars, field guides, and other tools to offer the best nature experience possible.

Driver/Guides:

When we have groups of 1 to 6 participants on our shorter modules such as the Arenal/Monteverde, we normally use driver/guides instead of both driver and guide. Our driver/guides have between 5 to 15 years experience working in Tourism with proven driving skills and excellent knowledge of the country's ecosystem, flora and fauna. You will truly enjoy the personalized services of our all our driver/guides.

ImageI´m Onik Morrison and almost from my birth, 25 years ago, I’ve been involved in biology. Most of those years I lived in a large 5 acre forest/residence near Santa Ana, Costa Rica, building tree houses and swinging on vines. That led to early childhood activities such as gymnastics and an undying fascination with nature. Lately I finished my B.A. degree in Biology and am now studying towards a Master´s degree with an emphasis on Environmental Interpretation and special interest in birds. In the intervening years, I´ve gotten to know, and often camped in, almost every corner of Costa Rica, plus travels to Asia, Europe, Africa and the wonderful Galapagos Islands. My pastimes are music, dancing of course and even a little soccer.

ImageI was born in Santiago de Chile.  Since I was a little kid I was captured by the beauty and peace that nature had for me to enjoy and especially after my father gave me, as a birthday present, an insect’s collection, I became an avid insect collector after that.  I heard often about my grandfather who lived in Costa Rica, where, as I was told there were amazing insects and the jungles were incredibly diverse.  When I was 13, my dream of exploring the wonders of Costa Rica’s nature came true, since my family moved to this beautiful land.  I became a costarican citizen in 1980 and today I live with my costarican wife Lorena and three beautiful "ticas" daughters. God blessed me with the opportunity to keep enjoying nature’s peace and health and to share these with our visitors as a tourguide since fifteen years ago.  Today I specially enjoy bird-watching and the walks in paradise. Marco Paris.
