Vargas
With
more than 14 years of total experience in tourism, "Charlie"
has been working for Costa Rica Sun Tours for more than
10 years. Even though Charlie is a proud to be a Costa
Rican, he has enjoyed traveling all over the USA visiting
as many cities and states as possible: New York, Chicago,
Washington, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, San Francisco,
San Diego, Miami. He also lived in Canada for 3 years
and he cherishes his appreciated understanding of other
cultures. Having extensive training in different fields,
Charlie especially likes volcanoes, geology, stars,
and birds. He also loves reading and cooking gourmet
pizzas! His broad knowledge of history and traditions
along with Charlie's variety of jokes ensures that you
will have a very entertaining trip! |

Erick Gomez
Erick
has been working over 8 years in the tourism field.
He is a very good birder and nature interpreter and
he has participated in many different training courses
for nature guiding. He prides himself in finding exotic
birds and unique animals to show clients; from Quetzals
in the cloud forest to macaws, monkeys, and sloths in
the lowland rainforest, Erick is a handy person to have
with you! He is a very patient guide and likes to work
with families and couples. |
Pedro Bolaños
Pedro
lives in Heredia, the "City of the flowers",
with his 3 boys and his wife Yaney. For more than 4
years he worked as a Bartender on several cruise ships,
getting great customer service experience with tourists,
and expanding his knowledge of the Caribbean Islands:
Bermudas, Antigua, Islas Virgenes, Jamaica, Aruba. When
Pedro returned to Costa Rica, he started his career
of guiding tours all throughout the country. Pedro is
a tico who loves nature, birds, and plants. His love
for Costa Rica's traditions and culture is contagious!
He is finishing his specialist nature guide training
course at the National Institute of Learning.

Adrian Ramirez
You're
ensured to laugh and have a great time with Adrian.
He obtained his license at the National Institute of
learning over 13 years ago. Other than guiding, Adrian
has worked in many different fields: he as worked as
a baker, public bus driver, furniture maker, front desk
manager, and owner of a hamburger stand. Adrian is a
people-person! He loves Costa Rica and its nature, especially
Costa Rica's fine selection of coffees-he is the most
serious coffee drinker guide! |
Danny Ugalde
Danny
has been working as driver-guide since 1993. He loves
reading about nature, especially plants, birds, reptiles,
frogs and insects. When he is not guiding, Danny enjoys
taking training courses. He is presently finishing his
formal studies at the National Institute of Learning.
Danny is also a member of Acoprot, the Costa Rican Association
of Tourism Professionals. Danny always enjoys meeting
new people and learning more about his native country!

Harry Castro
Harry
is a very experienced driver. He used to participate
in rallies and drive cars in speed- ways! But don't
worry, he doesn't use his racing skills with clients.
As a driver-guide Harry has 10 years of experience and
he is currently taking a special training course at
the National Institute of Biodiversity to obtain his
license as a specialist nature guide. With a good sense
of humor and good eyes for spotting animals, Harry prefers
to guide small groups of families, friends and couples.
