Rainforest and Beach Adventures

Aguila de Osa, Drake Bay Wilderness Lodge, La Paloma Lodge

Located in Drake Bay north of Corcovado National Park including visits to Corcovado National park and Caño Island.

Day 1: Early morning pickup at your San José hotel for transfer to airport for domestic flight to Palmar Sur. From Palmar Sur proceed by local taxi for 20-minute drive to Sierpe where you board a riverboat for the trip down the Rio Sierpe to the Drake Bay area. Remote, wild and unbelievably scenic, the Osa Peninsula is a combination of jungle and rocky coastline. Corcovado National Park, a vast expanse of rainforest, covering nearly a third of the peninsula was called "the most biologically intense place on earth" by National Geographic. It is home to more than 285 species of birds, 139 mammals and 116 amphibians and reptiles. (LD)

Days 2 - 3: Spend two days exploring the area. Most packages include tours and park entrance fees to both Caño Island and Corcovado National Park. (BLD)

Day 4: On the final morning return to San José. (B)
