Lonely Planet experts rated Nicaragua as one of the top 10 countries to visit in 2015. This
destination includes unique natural settings combined with history, culture and cuisine; all within short driving time and good road conditions. Considered today as the safest country of Central America, it’s becoming a hot spot to travel.

Our new Best of Nicaragua adventure includes a three night stay in Granada, a colonial city with a nice breeze coming from Lake Nicaragua. A city tour, a visit to an artisan family, a hike to see green parakeets returning to their nest in rock walls, a boat trip through the small volcanic islands formed when Mombacho volcano erupted and a night tour to Masaya volcano is included during your stay here. End your stay with 3 nights at Morgan’s Rock, located at Ocotal Beach, 12 km northwest from the entrance to San Juan del Sur. The Hacienda & Eco lodge Morgan’s Rock is part of a 1,000-hectare reforestation project and an 800-hectare private nature reserve. The lodge features 15 bungalows overlooking the ocean and forest.
The nature reserve and the estuary host a variety of forest animals from howler monkeys and sloths, to white tipped dear, and many native birds of this subtropical region. The beach is a nesting ground for sea turtles.
